ABOUT COURAGEOUS COMMUNICATIONS

Communication looks different for everyone.

Courageous Communications was created to provide individualized support that recognizes there is no single “right” way to communicate.

Whether through speech, AAC, gestures, signs, or a combination of communication methods, the goal is meaningful communication, autonomy, and connection.

Hi, I’m Brittany.

Brittany M. Setaro, M.S., CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist | AAC Specialist

I’m a neurodiversity-affirming speech-language pathologist with experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults with developmental disabilities across school and private-practice settings.

My work has a particular focus on AAC and complex communication needs. I believe communication support should begin with the whole person—their strengths, preferences, access needs, and goals.

I created Courageous Communications to provide individualized support that goes beyond the therapy session. My goal is to help communicators build autonomy, connection, and confidence while empowering the people who support them.

MY APPROACH

Different Communicators.

Different Needs.

Individualized Support.

01- COMMUNICATION FIRST

Every form of communication is meaningful. Speech, AAC, gestures, signs, and other forms of communication are valued and supported.

02- AUTONOMY ALWAYS

Communication support should build choice, independence, self-advocacy, and access—not compliance.

03- REAL-LIFE CONNECTION

Communication should work where life happens—at home, at school, in the community, and in relationships.
